Full Version: Biorhythms!

Here's version uno of my Biorhythms panel. It requires the .NET 2.0 Framework although the .install won't check for its absence.
Biorhythms are cycles that everyone has during their life affecting physical, emotional, mental, etc. states. They range from -100% to +100% with the most critical stages being crossover periods (going from down to up and vice-versa). They should be taken with the same healthy grain o' salt that horoscopes are usually viewed with, grin!
If all goes well, you'll have a ton of bar graphs illustrating all the various cycles I could find on the Internet. I'd recommend ditching the Panel Title and disabling Autofit so you can squeeze it to one row. If you left-click on a bar chart the display will instantly update to the next few cycles instead of waiting thirty seconds. Hovering over the panel causes the graph detail window to appear, where you can toggle on/off the various cycles you would like plotted.
Panel Properties lets you enter your birthday so you can get your correct stats and finally the Copy to Clipboard lets you quickly Paste your info for someone, say during an IM conversation.
This is my first Panel so I'm expecting Murphy's Law to take firm hold - please let me know of any troubles you have and suggestions for improvement. Gracias and here's waitin' for that perfect +100% Total day!

OK, I didn't even know there was a .NET Framework v2.0 so I went to the Microsoft .NET Framework page and found all kinds of 2.0 downloads, but I didn't see a downloadable that was not a SDK.

Can you shed some light on which item I should download?

Or, will it work OK with v1.1 and the .NET Framework SP1 applied?

Thanks,
Indian_Mayhem
You can get it on the WindowsUpdate page. Or read this post for direct links to the downloads.

Thanks. That's the file I was looking for!!!

(I do not use WindowsUpdate - a very dangerous method of updating your computer!!)

Dangerous?  That's a new one.

It requires Internet Explorer and Active Controls have to be enabled - two very susceptible ways to infect your computer.
If you want to discuss this further, please e-mail me off the forum (to keep this thread on topic!).

Since I.M. works for Microsoft, that should be a fascinating discussion!

Tried to install it today and guess what? It said it could not find v2.0 (I have v1.1 with SP1 installed!).

Just thought you might want to know!

Wow - I don't know how it did that but excellent! Who says we can't have nice things? biggrin.gif

I liked this panel. Liked until it told me that I'm at an all time low for everything! Now I cower under the covers until it say I can go out and be safe.

No really, this is a really cool panel. My only desire is to edit the headers so they fit better.

No worries - one good thing about Biorhythms is that they're always changin' (for better and for worse, alas)!

Yes, some skin fonts are pretty big and the labels get squashed. Are you looking for the ability to print whatever message you like for each one above the bar graphs and in the detail window? That could be added to the Panel Options plus the ability to customize the color displayed for each. I haven't figured-out how to get the Text color for the bar graphs to change, though, in order to match.
