Thanks for this panel. It solved lots of issues for me. I use a couple of local web pages for and outlook view and a script based task list. Neither worked well in the news feed panel, but Perfectly in yours.
Thanks again.

Happy to have helped. It was quite a simple panel to make. smile.gif

One additional question. Where is the site history stored and could I forced some pages into history when I restart the system.
The reason is, I use the panel for Outlook pages with ActiveX controls and when they are first loaded they disappear on mouseover. Once they are in history, they problem goes away.
Thanks again

The site history is stored in memory. With the current version, you can't force any site to the history unless you visit it. I thought of making a Favorites option, that might solve your problem.
Can you send me the pages you're using that you're seeing the problems with? I'd like to check them out and see what's causing them to disappear.
jlg
Pretty simple page. Just shows Outlook weekly view.
File attached.
The other pages that I load are just the same view frame with different folders.
Favorites would solve it for me.
Might be a problem with ActiveX security and IE7. Don't think I ever tried it with IE6.
I stuck in a screen shot if that helps.
Thanks

Thanks, jlg. I've tried loading your page into the panel, and I'm getting the opposite - when the page is first loaded, it's displayed fine. After I navigate to another page and then go back, the contents of the page disappear unless I click it or mouse over it. And the next time I navigate away from the ActiveX page and back again, it works again. Weird. unsure.gif
I'm also unsure as to what's causing this. It doesn't seem to be related to IE7 security (I also installed IE7 recently). Anyway, I've added the Favorites feature to the ToDo list so whenever I find some time (might take a long while), I'll add this feature.

Thanks for the dialog, as is it's still the best for what it can do.
I think it might have something to do with repainting the panel. Whenever I open a full-screen app that covers it up, it doesn't re-appear after the covering app is closed. As soon as I run the mouse over it, it's comes back. I agree, weird. The newsroom panel does the same kind of thing, but it never stops disappearing. I also tried changing the type of load for the ActiveX control so it didn't require a mouse-click for activation, but the results were pretty much the same.
Thanks again, if I discover some work-around I'll let you know.

Are there any panel options for the mini browser? Would it be possible to have it start up a full-screen browser with a double-click?
GoMa
I'll add this feature request to my list, thank you.
Michel Grenier
Good browser ...
can you put 2 option on the mini-browser
1- independant homepage choise
2- remove all navigation toolbar

Ans also ad option to target the link on open new link on new browser on center of the screen

Thanks
GoMa
Thanks for your suggestions. I understand the second one. About the homepage - you can already change it by navigating to the desired page, clicking the homepage button and clicking Set as Homepage.
What do you mean with your last request?
Atlas_2k
I believe Michel wants to have the option to see only the webpage in the panel (no buttons like "forward", "Homepage" and so on...).

I could see also some possibilities - the panel would be useable to show any HTML contents => so also results from other "Add-Ons" (which only must generate HTML code instead needed to programmed with the DS SDK)
GoMa
I'll add an option to disable the Toolbar whenever I have time.
You're right as for display HTML data, a developer can publish an HTML page and let it be displayed in the panel. It might also be possible to display a Google webpage/universal gadget in there. I planned on making a special panel for that, though.
Atlas_2k
Meanwhile I've found that this may be not required - your capture panel can do this => simply capture the IE display (in the center - not on the border) and so the capure panel is a webbrowser panel then... smile.gif
Now I'm playing around with this... wink.gif

Tanks for this panel
I got a request
is it posible to get a updated Mini Browser in the future without, or posible a colapsed, adress bar and the menubar so the only things on the panel is the webpage. ?
Maybe also a change the lenght off the Mini Browser.
I am using your panel for my forum and can se who is online, like a msn panel.
It's just a requist, otherwise it is a good panel
Thanks again Qvickie

You can already change the height of the panel by right clicking on its title and unchecking Autofit. Also make sure Desktop Sidebar is not locked by right clicking and unchecking Lock. Now you can drag the bottom edge of the panel to resize it.
I'll add your other request whenever I'll have a bit of time to work on this.

Just a note and update. I upgraded to Vista Business and the panel (among others) wouldn't work.
I reinstalled and rebooted most, including mini-browser seems to work now.
Even the issue of the activeX page disappearing seems to be corrected.

Thanks for the update, jlg. I'm happy to hear the panel works fine in Vista. If it didn't, I probably couldn't have fixed it since I don't have Vista. biggrin.gif

very useful panel, but the toolbar is too wide for small sidebars.
how to remove "go" and "back" characters? (not icon)
